We cannot miss the famous Todra canyon, both the Todra River and the nearby Dades have carved, over the millennia, a canyon among the rocks in their final course among the mountains. The last 600 meters of the gorges are the most spectacular. Here the two rocky walls reach their minimum distance of 10 meters, with overhanging rocks reaching 160 meters in height.

\

DAY 9 - January 4th Saturday

This will be the Marrakech Day!

Our tour will start from the Menara Garden, a historic public garden, the gardens have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. The gardens are laid out around a central water basin and reservoir, next to which is a pleasure pavilion dating in its current form from the 19th century.

Our Tour will continue at the Majorelle gardens, a complex of botanical and landscape gardens designed by French artist Jacques Majorelle in 1931, during the colonial period. Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé discovered the garden in 1966, during their first stay in Marrakech. They bought the garden in 1980, then decided to live in the artist’s house, renamed Villa Oasis, and undertook extensive restoration work. In 2010, the exhibition Yves Saint Laurent was inaugurated.

You cannot miss the Bahia Palace in Marrakech, a stunning example of Moroccan architecture and design. The Bahia Palace was built in 1894 by Si Moussa, the Grand Vizier of Sultan Moulay Hassan I. It was intended to be a luxurious residence for the Grand Vizier and his family. The palace is filled with intricate details and vibrant colors that reflect the culture and traditions of Morocco. The walls are adorned with intricate mosaics and carved stucco designs, while the floors are covered in colorful tiles. The ceilings are painted with intricate patterns and designs, and the windows are framed with ornate wooden shutters.

Our morning will end with the visit at the Koutoubia Mosque, the name, which means “mosque of booksellers”, is due to the numerous stalls of books that surround it since its early years. Built in the 12th century, it is one of the oldest and most impressive mosques in the country. Its grandeur and beauty have made it a popular tourist destination, and it is a symbol of the city’s rich history and culture. The Koutoubia Mosque is also an important religious site for Muslims in Marrakech. It is used for daily prayers and for special religious ceremonies such as weddings and funerals.

The lunch will be at an Authentic Moroccan Restaurant.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Medina and the famous Jamaa El Fna Square. The most fascinating thing about Jamaa el Fna Square is its transformation within 24 hours. By day you will see monkey trainers who will climb on your shoulders and snake charmers, you will also find stands of orange juice, spices, mint and snails. At sunset, the square turns completely. When evening falls, the street stalls disappear and the square is filled with food stalls, where you can dine surrounded by street musicians and shows of various kinds.

This will be our last evening in Morocco, come and discover all the Surprises that Alvin has organized for you!

I went on the 2022 trip to Italy and words can't describe how incredible it was! Alvin is the BEST host!! He really goes out of his way to make sure that everyone is happy, comfortable, and having fun. I was a bit hesitant about traveling with a larger group - I usually travel solo - but our group was amazing! By the end of the trip, I felt like I had been friends with everyone for decades. Alvin created so many memories that I'll cherish forever. It really was a magical trip and there's no way I ever would have had the same experience on my own.

Alvin’s trip to Italy was pure magic! From the gorgeous scenery, to the enchanting wineries and restaurants we visited to the fun new friends we met. Alvin puts a group of people together that is like you are with life-long friends and then creates a blast of a party. There were so many highlights but sailing the Amalfi Coast and swimming off the sailboat with our blow up toys like little kids was one of them. But Tuscany surpassed all expectations. We had been there a few times but experiencing it with Alvin, we saw it like a true Italian for the first time. I can’t wait till the next trip and I’ll definitely book again. Ciao bellissima!

I dream about those two weeks in Italy with Alvin. Our two weeks on the bus with Nicola the busdriver which included 3 fabulous days on sailboats on the Amalfi Coast was wondrous. Alvin was the perfect host as he was raised and lived in many of the towns we visited, and he was gracious and knowledgeable. We had so much wine! We visited so many makers of wine and cheese and balsamic vinegar and we toured caverns and mineral springs and cathedrals and beachside towns, and we saw castles and Ferrari and Siena's horses and Bologna and ate at wonderful restaurants with Alvin's family and friends. The landscape is breathtaking, the food was stellar everywhere we went, the hotels were classy and comfortable, and the people could not have been nicer. And everyone on the bus got along and became friends. It ended with Alvin and Denise's gorgeous wedding on a hill in Tuscany then a night in Rome...wow! I took more than 4000 pictures. I'll send them if you ask for them! A little advice...if Alvin asks you if you'd like the best steak or the best ice cream 'in the world', take him up on it.

The Alvin’s Tour's trip to Italy in June of 2022 was an experience I will never forget. I’m still browsing though photos and videos reliving this wonderful experience. The hotels, the food, the WINE and guide to places in Italy that were historic and off the beaten track sealed this experience for me as one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly orchestrated and adjusted according to limits and changes. You even managed all the calls and coordination to successfully return my luggage to me that didn’t make a connecting flight to Rome! We’ll done…so when is the next trip?

Alvin’s trips, which I have been on several of them… have been some of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. Alvin is the perfect host and made everyone and myself comfortable and happy. Alvins tours was a great experience, and a great mixture of fantastic views, food wine, and historical places. I would highly recommend anyone to take at least one of the tours.
