DAY 1 - December 28th Friday

Alvin waited the Crew at Bucharest airport!
Our Private Transfer to The Marmorosch Autograph Collection ***** Luxury Hotel in Bucharest awaits!

The Marmorosch Hotel has housed in the former building of Romania’s most influential bank during the late 19th century, it is the perfect venue for reliving history. The Marmorosch’s speak-easy bar is situated in an old bank vault that once stored the treasures – and secrets – of the powerful.

Imagine being in an old bank vault that once kept national treasures and even strictly confidential state documents.

The interior design has retained as many authentic details as possible: from the original safes to the armored vault door. Who knows, maybe the safety deposit boxes still contain some intriguing secrets?

At the hotel, we had a Welcome Champagne.
The dinner was at Gilda Lounge, here we spent the night listening to live music.

Gilda is the place where the charm of the Old Center of Bucharest meets the international-inspired cuisine, quality services and memorable parties.

\

DAY 2 - December 29th Friday

Bucharest Day!

We visited the Historic Center of Bucharest with a Private Guide.
The Historical Center of Bucharest, also known as Old Town, as it is called by the locals, is one of the most beloved and attractive areas in Bucharest, a place steeped in buildings built in neoclassical and neo-baroque style. You can find a lot of historical buildings and museums to visit but also terraces, cafes, restaurants, and shops to make some rest.

The lunch was at Hanu lui Manuc Restaurant.

Bucharest’s Old Town is a mix of history, local culture, and lifestyle, a trendy entertainment district for the tourists and the locals.
Finally, you cannot miss the wonderful Christmas markets!

The dinner was at Caru’ Cu Bere – the soul of Bucharest.
With a history of more than 140 years, Caru’ cu bere was and still is a symbol of Buchares’ts old town, being the favourite meeting spot both for the locals as for foreign tourists, among them being some famous names like The Rolling Stones, Naruhito, the Prince of Japan or Edward Kennedy, all of them being our guests in the past.
The building was built in Neo-Gothic, the vaulted ground floor in Neo-Gothic style is richly decorated with paints, stained glass, mosaics and carved panelings.

\

DAY 3 - December 30th Saturday

Peles Castle Day!

It’s time to leave Bucharest and discover Brașov via private transfer!

We stopped to visit The Peles Castle in Sinaia.
The Peles castle was built by the first King of Romania, Carol I of Hohenzollern – Sigmaringen, between 1873 and 1914. By 1883, the year of its inauguration, it was used as summer residence.

In the first shape (1883), both exterior and interior stylistic dominant is provided by the German neo-Renaissance style with two exceptions, the neo-Ottoman and the neo-Rococo styles. In the second stage (1890-1914), fundamental changes to the volumes, façades and interiors enriched the previous stylistic range, adapting the castle to the stylistic pluralism of Historicism.

Near the castle, we had an authentic lunch at Taverna Sarbului, where the Serbian gastronomy is preserved as the strongest example that the tastes of a nation can cross the ages not alternating.

Welcome Champagne at Charming Hotel ***** in Brasov.
A special Dinner and Night Party at the Hotel ended this amazing day!

\

DAY 4 - December 31st Sunday

New Year’s Eve Dracula’s Castle!

We visited the City of Brașov with a Private Guide.
Charming and a bit bohemian, Brașov is the main city of Transylvania for cultural and commercial importance and is located almost in the center of Romania, 170 kilometers from Bucharest. Founded by the Teutonic knights in 1211 and fortified by the Saxons, the city is a maze of narrow streets, baroque facades and gothic spires.
We had an authentic lunch at Casa Hirsher “The Hirscher House”, also known as the “Merchant House”.
The house was built in 1545, it was the largest building in town and its 67.5 height represented the commercial power of the town. Apollonia Hirscher, the widow of Lucas Hirscher, the late mayor, donated 800 guldens for the construction of the commercial centre, or bazaar, where the local guilds could present their merchandise.
Click here and discover the legend about the construction of the house!

Once in a lifetime private event, the very first time in history for a New Year’s Eve party at Dracula’s Castle!!

Here below the night program:

  • the Night starts with a Welcome Champagne at first floor
  • Six course Gala Dinner in Queen Marie’s Music Room with all beverage included. The Chef says: “When I cook, all I think about is the guests’ smiles… I get inspired by the fresh products, which
belong to every particular season. I like to see the match of colors and the local fusion with the Mediterranean flavor. Everything I prepare has one common ingredient: passion”.
  • during the dinner, the Gaudeamus Quartet will play their repertoire of over 70 compositions from all stylistic periods. Gaudeamus Quartet was founded in 1987 in Iasi. After graduation, the members of the quartet become soloists at Brasov Philharmonic. Since then, they perform a wide range of concerts in a number of cities in Romania and abroad, in France, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Croatia, Poland and Japan
  • host by COUNT DRACULA Vlad Tepes The Impaler, an actor of Teatrul Strada Brasov
  • after dinner, party with DJ set to dance and wait the 00:00 AM at first floor with open bar

\

DAY 5 - January 1st Monday

Brasov Day!

After celebrating the arrival of the New Year, we enjoyed a morning rest and a special brunch at the hotel.

Free day in Brasov, to continue to discover this amazing city!

The dinner was at the beautiful Brasserie Luther in Brasov.

\

DAY 6 - January 2nd Tuesday

Bran Castle Day!

The Crew visited a very well-preserved 13th century Saxon Fortified Church in Harman village.

An incredible Evening Tour at Dracula’s Castle is waiting for us!
The Bran castle is a particular building in the middle between history and myth, indeed because Bran Castle is the only castle in all of Transylvania that actually fits Bram Stoker’s description of Dracula’s Castle, it is known throughout the world as Dracula’s Castle.
Click here for all the castle’s story
That night, Alvin surprised the Crew with a special Dinner and Party at the Hotel.

\

DAY 7 - January 3rd Wednesday

Sighisoara and Viscri Day!

We visited the City of Sighisoara with a private guide.
Sighisoara, “UNESCO World Heritage Site”, is the most romantic city in Romania thanks to its pretty medieval village, characteristic squares and ancient walls. Founded by the Saxons in the late 12th century, Sighișoara reached its peak in the 15th century when it became a free city. This architectural jewel has 9 towers of the 14 original, mighty bastions, medieval houses and a magical mix of winding cobbled streets, steep staircases, secluded squares and a charming citadel preserved.
Sighisoara is also known for being the hometown of Vlad III Peles the Impaler, who inspired Bram Stoker’s famous novel, Dracula.

We had lunch in authentic farmhouse and we visited the Village of Viscri with a private guide.
This village represents the authentic Romania, the one that hasn’t been touched by tourism yet; is an ancient Saxon settlement, characterized by picturesque colorful houses. The streets, cobbled and surrounded by beautiful landscapes, offer an enchanting atmosphere.
In 1999, Viscri was included in the list of UNESCO heritage sites.
The dinner was at the beautiful Sergiana Restaurant in Brasov.

\

DAY 8 - January 4th Thursday

Libearty Bear Sanctuary Day!

That day a unique experience in the Bears World surprised the Crew!
We visited the Libearty Bear Sanctuary, the largest animal welfare project in Europe. From 2005, over 130 bears have been rescued from an abusive nightmare life, in tiny cages compared to the necessary space these animals need, being prisoners behind rusty bars and cement under their paws, instead of grass. Many of them were kept in cages near restaurants, hotels, guesthouses, near cottages and gas stations, as tourist attractions. There have also been cases of someone’s “immeasurable love” who, instead of letting them live in their natural environment, preferred to keep them behind bars.

The parties for the beginning of 2024 are not over, the Crew celebrated with a Private Alvin’s event Dinner and 70′ Party.

\

DAY 9 - January 5th Friday

Therme Bucaresti Day!

It’s time to leave Bra$ov and return to The Marmorosch Autograph Collection ***** Luxury Hotel in Bucharest via private transfer!
We stopped to visit the Salt Mine Slanic. Salina Slanic Prahova is located at a depth of 208m, on an area of 53.000mq, the tourist circuit passes through a path that allows you to see folds with development on tens of meters, marked by alternations of different colored bands, with shades of gray and white, various mineralogical characteristics (structure, texture, crystallization mode) and the special purity of salt.

That night will very exclusive!
We stayed at very famous Therme Bucaresti for all the evening, and we had a Unique Dinner at The Mango Tree Restaurant.
Therme Bucaresti is the one of the largest thermal Spa in Europe, the relaxing environment is designed to forget, at least for a few hours, the stress and frenzy of the metropolis.
The environment that hosts the thermal baths of Bucharest, or Therme Bucuresti in local language, has an internal temperature of 29-30 degrees, and a constant water temperature of 33 degrees throughout the year. The thermal water flows from the subsoil and feeds 10 pools, as well as 6 saunas, 4 steam baths and 16 slides. Next to the spa, you will also find a botanical garden, the largest in Romania, with over 800 thousand plants, including 1500 palms, which form the largest palm grove in Europe.

\

DAY 10 - January 6th Saturday

Palace of Parliament Day!

A private tour waited for us at Palace of the Parliament with private guide.
The Palace of the Parliament, also known as the Republic’s House or People’s House/People’s Palace, is one of the heaviest buildings in the world. The building is divided into 3 main categories: the first category – area of the main halls, galleries and cabinets; the second category – office area; the third category – belvedere, with three rooms on each floor.
The building, once intended to be a construction that worshipped socialism, communism and totalitarianism is now, after 27 years from the Revolution in 1989, a symbol of democracy due to the public institutes located inside (Chamber of Deputies, the Senate, the Legislative Council, the Constitutional Court of Romania).

At this point of the journey, a last stop at the Christmas Markets cannot miss!
Goodbye Romania Dinner Party at the best Restaurant in Bucharest at 18th floor.

\

I went on the 2022 trip to Italy and words can't describe how incredible it was! Alvin is the BEST host!! He really goes out of his way to make sure that everyone is happy, comfortable, and having fun. I was a bit hesitant about traveling with a larger group - I usually travel solo - but our group was amazing! By the end of the trip, I felt like I had been friends with everyone for decades. Alvin created so many memories that I'll cherish forever. It really was a magical trip and there's no way I ever would have had the same experience on my own.

Alvin’s trip to Italy was pure magic! From the gorgeous scenery, to the enchanting wineries and restaurants we visited to the fun new friends we met. Alvin puts a group of people together that is like you are with life-long friends and then creates a blast of a party. There were so many highlights but sailing the Amalfi Coast and swimming off the sailboat with our blow up toys like little kids was one of them. But Tuscany surpassed all expectations. We had been there a few times but experiencing it with Alvin, we saw it like a true Italian for the first time. I can’t wait till the next trip and I’ll definitely book again. Ciao bellissima!

I dream about those two weeks in Italy with Alvin. Our two weeks on the bus with Nicola the busdriver which included 3 fabulous days on sailboats on the Amalfi Coast was wondrous. Alvin was the perfect host as he was raised and lived in many of the towns we visited, and he was gracious and knowledgeable. We had so much wine! We visited so many makers of wine and cheese and balsamic vinegar and we toured caverns and mineral springs and cathedrals and beachside towns, and we saw castles and Ferrari and Siena's horses and Bologna and ate at wonderful restaurants with Alvin's family and friends. The landscape is breathtaking, the food was stellar everywhere we went, the hotels were classy and comfortable, and the people could not have been nicer. And everyone on the bus got along and became friends. It ended with Alvin and Denise's gorgeous wedding on a hill in Tuscany then a night in Rome...wow! I took more than 4000 pictures. I'll send them if you ask for them! A little advice...if Alvin asks you if you'd like the best steak or the best ice cream 'in the world', take him up on it.

The Alvin’s Tour's trip to Italy in June of 2022 was an experience I will never forget. I’m still browsing though photos and videos reliving this wonderful experience. The hotels, the food, the WINE and guide to places in Italy that were historic and off the beaten track sealed this experience for me as one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly orchestrated and adjusted according to limits and changes. You even managed all the calls and coordination to successfully return my luggage to me that didn’t make a connecting flight to Rome! We’ll done…so when is the next trip?
